On Thursday, April 11, 2024, I will be hosting the following event at PubKey, a Bitcoin-themed bar in New York City. (Click image below to RSVP.)
At the event, I will interview Lyudmyla Kozlovska, President of the Open Dialogue Foundation, and Jorge Jraissati, President of the Organization for Economic Inclusion about the work that they’ve been doing in educating both US and EU politicians as well as members of international regulatory agencies about the importance of bitcoin as a money of last resort for activists who’ve been debanked by authoritarian regimes.
I wrote about Lyudmyla’s work in the following piece:
We’ll discuss why applying KYC/AML to unhosted crypto wallets is both harmful and unconstitutional as well as why Proof of Work (PoW) is necessary to keep Bitcoin censorship resistant.
Please join us. The event is free to attend.
Week 1 at Bitcoin Magazine
One week ago today, I began working full-time as the Business-to-Business (B2B) Correspondent at Bitcoin Magazine.
It was quite a wild week to say the least, as I’m now in Slack channels with people whose work I’ve been reading for years.
I’m quite grateful to say the least.
I share this in part because I will more or less be using this newsletter as a portfolio as this point. Between my work for Bitcoin Magazine and Forbes Digital Assets, I won’t have a lot of time to do a lot of other original writing.
And, on that note, here’s my first ‘portfolio piece’:
You’re Going to Die
Hopefully, not anytime soon, but it’s bound to happen eventually.
When it does, you’ll want to make sure your loved ones can easily access the bitcoin you stacked during your time here.
A great way to to do that is to use Casa’s new inheritance product, Casa Inheritance. (Click image below to read more.)
IMHO, this is the best bitcoin inheritance product on the market today.
But if you’re not quite ready for something like this, you can always just continue to use a hardware wallet like the one featured below to store the private keys to your BTC.

Here at new renaissance capital, we’ve teamed up with Trezor, maker of the world’s first bitcoin hardware wallet to help you safeguard your BTC private keys.
Click on the image below to purchase the Trezor Model One, the best value hardware wallet on the market.
Pro tip: When moving bitcoin from an exchange address to your Trezor wallet address, be sure to move in chunks of at least 800,000 sats at a time. Fees on the bitcoin base layer are quite high right now, so it’s best to avoid making small and/or unnecessary transactions.
Okay, that’s all for this evening!
Thank you for reading and big hug!
Best,
Frank
