Not Just Boys' Fun
Lorraine Marcel of Bitcoin Dada Is Bringing African Women into the Bitcoin Fold
Kenya’s Lorraine Marcel Atieno believes that if the use of Bitcoin is to become more widespread, women will need to be involved.
Hence, she started Bitcoin Dada (“Dada” is Swahili for “sister”) in Kenya, and has been educating women both in Kenya and other African countries about Bitcoin as well as money and finance more broadly.
What she shared in the following interview inspired me so much that I agreed to step back into my old role as a teacher and to help educate the women in her program as a volunteer lecturer.
