Granted most of these people have skin in the game (except Laura Shin; I don't think she owns any digital assets) and may just be pushing a narrative that suits them, but, based on what I've read, it seems to make sense that the Bitcoin network wouldn't be the best way for Russia to avoid sanctions.

Vitalik Tweeted about this earlier and he said that he has confirmed it is legit. I hope it is. I will be donating via other avenues, though
