Jeez, I stop writing for a week and a half and I miss covering a country adopting Bitcoin as legal tender and then using volcanic energy to mine it. Crazy stuff.
I took some time off this past week to visit from friends out of state and then joined James Lawrence, better known as the “Iron Cowboy”, in Utah for the final days of his “Conquer 100” challenge. For more on the Iron Cowboy’s challenge, you can check out this article and this article. Also, the 2018 documentary of him completing 50 Ironman races in 50 days in 50 different U.S. states, entitled “Iron Cowboy”, is a great watch. It brought me to tears. He’s a wildly inspirational dude, and I couldn’t be happier to say that I was a few steps behind him when he completed his mission this past Tuesday.
So, after four long days of travel, 113 miles of cycling, 25 miles of running, and a little over a mile of swimming in Utah, I’m shot. I’m in recovery, much like Bitcoin’s price action. I’ll likely be taking at least a few more days off before writing anything.
(You can see me in the top picture. I’m toward the center, in the second row of people, wearing all black with a white bicycle in front of me.)
I hope everyone is well! Talk soon…
Best,
Frank
