What’s up, fam-a-lam-a-ding-dong?
It’s been a hot minute, I know, but I needed a little break from writing this newsletter. Sometimes, I use my brain too much, and I get to this point where it feels like it’s going to break. Then, I get really sad, and I sink into this Catholic guilt-fueled downward spiral of shame and terror. Some days, I even really believe that I will burn in hell for all eternity because I write about money. It can really a fucking blast to be inside my body. I recently wrote a little bit about it here.
ANYWAY, I’ve recently come across a few things that I’ve really wanted to share with you, and so I’ve shared them below.
The first item on the docket this evening is episode 78 of Robert Breedlove’s What Is Money? podcast. In this episode, Mr. Breedlove, a beautiful specimen of a man (think superstar high school quarterback meets Disney prince), interviews a Frank Corva newsletter favorite, Papa Raoul (Pal). Papa Raoul goes reeeeeaaaaal deep, as he discusses how we’ve gotten ourselves into this ungodly hot financial mess that we currently find ourselves in. Pal begins about 120 years back at the peak of the British Empire and finishes up by discussing our “migration” to digital assets and the effects that this will have on our modern world. Big shout out to the sweet baby Jesus for Papa Raoul. What a champ this man is.
And speaking of champs, next up, I’d like to give a big shout out to Andrew Yang. He recently published a piece on his website called “Breaking up with the Democratic Party”. This piece resonated deeply with me. In it, I learned that I share with Yang 1.) the same voting record, 2.) the same type of solutions-focused mindset and 3.) the same disillusionment with the Democratic party. I both applaud and very much respect his choosing to part ways with the Democrats. Most of them have become incredibly rotten, gross, ineffective, and indefensible; we’re far past due for a legitimate third party in the the U.S.. I mean, imagine saying that you are on the same team as this mind-bending economist of a senator:
No, Elizabeth Warren; it’s because we printed $4.9 trillion in the past two years. The circus called; you’re on next.
Or maybe you are a fan of three-ring networks like MSNBC and the really popular Democrats that they like to have on.
I will give props to her for at least using the term “Information Age”. She loses points for every other word out of her mouth, though.
If the Democratic party were full of more, let’s say, the Tascha Che type, I might be more inclined to care about the party at all anymore.
Check out her piece on how we should value Layer One blockchain protocols like countries and not companies here. Her brain is so hot. I sometimes fantasize about her telling me how dumb I am. (Really.)
ANYWAY, speaking of feeling dumb, here’s a bonus listen:
Balaji is perhaps one of the greatest thinkers of our time. Most polymaths have a decent amount of knowledge about a decent amount of subjects. Balaji has all the knowledge about all of the subjects. He will break your brain.
And that’s about all I’ve got for you. Before we part ways, though, here are some assets I’m currently interested in:
Audius | $AUDIO
Opulous | $OPUL
Wonderland Finance | $TIME
DTravel | $TRVL
Consider Giving Back
If you’ve made some money in markets lately and would like to give back, please consider giving to The Healing Center. They do incredible work in supporting women, children, and families who have been impacted by domestic violence. And my friend Stephanie basically runs the show over there, so I can assure you that the money is going to good use.
Closing Thoughts
Please remember that I am not a financial advisor. I am a soon to be unemployed rando writing a free newsletter on the internet. Do your own research. Take responsibility for your own risks. That being said, play safe, feel free to shill what you are currently investing in in the comments, and much love until next time.
Big Hug to Everyone,
Frank
